Compact off-grid power for field technology
Sectronics designs and builds compact off-grid power platforms for field technology, configured for stand-alone operation, local access or remote connectivity according to the application.
Why Sectronics exists
After decades integrating technology in the field, we encountered an off-grid system that looked complete on paper but arrived poorly documented, required additional hardware and consumed significant onsite time to make usable.
We decided not to accept that as normal.

One power platform
Not every project needs internet, remote monitoring or every available feature. The application determines what belongs in the platform.
Solar generation, LiFePO₄ battery storage, power management and protected DC distribution form the core of the platform.
Reliable off-grid power comes first.Timers, photocells, sensors, digital inputs and relay outputs can automate suitable equipment without an internet connection.
Ideal for lighting and locally controlled loads.Local Wi-Fi or Ethernet can support commissioning and programming. Cellular, PoE or an existing network can be added when the application needs remote access.
Connectivity is included because the equipment needs it — not by default.Suitable configurations can add PV and battery visibility, alerts, diagnostics, connected inputs and relay functions through remote monitoring hardware.
Remote visibility where the operational value justifies it.
Mounting follows the application
The enclosure is the powered platform — the pole is one mounting option. Camera applications often benefit from pole mounting because the equipment needs height. Other applications can place the enclosure on a wall, frame, gate structure or other suitable external structure.
Application led
You choose the technology. Sectronics configures the off-grid power platform and the appropriate level of local control or connectivity around it.

Power for local recording or remotely connected surveillance at temporary, remote and difficult-to-service sites. Communications and PoE are added where the surveillance design requires them.

Access control can operate locally, with nearby Wi-Fi or Ethernet used for programming. Remote management, CCTV viewing or app-based IP intercom calling can add an internet path where required.

Dusk-to-dawn lighting, timed or sensor-controlled equipment, warning devices and relay-operated loads can operate entirely locally. Internet is only required when remote access or reporting is needed.

Power for sensors, controllers, network devices and other customer-selected field technology. The application may operate or log locally, or use communications for remote reporting and management.
Bring us the intended equipment, how it needs to operate and the site conditions. Sectronics can confirm whether the platform is suitable and configure generation, storage, protection, control, communications and mounting around the requirement.

Sectronics is currently testing advanced battery and system monitoring within our Enterprise Power Platform.
Using proven Victron Energy technology, the SmartShunt can operate independently with local Bluetooth access, or integrate with a Cerbo GX where remote system visibility is required.
This allows the monitoring architecture to remain as simple or as capable as the application demands — from local commissioning and diagnostics through to remotely connected monitoring.
SmartShunt provides nearby Bluetooth access to live battery voltage, current and power without requiring an internet connection.
Where remote visibility is required, SmartShunt data can be integrated with Cerbo GX and the platform’s communications path for remote monitoring and diagnostics.
Not every application requires this level of monitoring. It is added where the operational benefit justifies it.

Developed here
Sectronics manufactures its pole systems and solar mounting assemblies in Victoria, sources major components through Australian suppliers wherever practical and assembles the platform locally.
